Estate-Grown Washington Wines
A Fourth-Generation Family Farm Rooted in the Yakima Valley
Airfield Estates is a family-owned and operated winery and vineyard in the heart of Washington’s Yakima Valley, the state’s oldest established AVA. For four generations, our family has farmed this land, planting our first wine grapes in 1968. Today, our estate vineyard spans nearly 800 acres and includes more than 20 varietals. Decades of hands-on farming experience, thoughtful vineyard stewardship, and a deep understanding of our land allow us to craft well-balanced wines that showcase varietal character, quality, and a genuine expression of our Yakima Valley terroir.
As our name suggests, Airfield Estates also has deep ties to aviation. During World War II, a portion of our property served as a training base for the Civilian Pilot Training Program and later for hundreds of Army Air Corps pilots. After the war, our family began farming the surrounding land, and a few of the original airplane hangars remain in use today as part of our working farm. We continue to honor that history by sharing wines that reflect both our agricultural roots and the enduring spirit of the civilian and military pilots who once trained here.
